About Allegiant Airlines Baggage Policy
Regular basic fares for Allegiant Airlines baggage policy include the following:
- There will be no charges on personal items such as a purse, a laptop, or a backpack and 7 x 15 x 16 inches (17.8 x 38.1 x 40.6 centimeters) is the maximum dimensions.
- Fee will be applicable on 1 carry-on bag such as a roll-aboard bag, a garment bag, or a tote bag and 9 x 14 x 22 inches (22.9 x 35.6 x 55.9 centimeters) is the maximum size.
- Passengers have to pay fees per bag increase with the number of checked baggage/ hold baggage. 80 linear inches (203 centimeters) in height + width + length is the maximum size and additional charges will be applied on bags weighing more than 40 pounds, sporting, equipment, and/or oversize/ excess baggage.
- Charges will be imposed on overweight and oversize bags depending on the weight and size categories.
- Passengers have to pay the fees on certain sports types of equipment.
Allegiant Airlines Carry-on Baggage Policy
1 personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop bag) is permitted without paying any fees except one carry-on bag.
Following size and weight restrictions on carry-on bags:
- 9 x 14 x 22 inches (22.9 x 35.6 x 55.9cm) including wheels and handles.
- Put in the available space under the seat in front of you or overhead bin.
- 25lbs/11.34kgs is the maximum weight.
- 38 linear inches (16 x 15 x 7 in) or 96.5 centimeters (40.6 x 38.1 x 17.8 cm).
- Carry-on does not count items such as; a jacket, umbrella, duty-free items, and assistive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, strollers, child restraint seats, etc) except Diaper bags.
NOTE: There is no under-seat storage on Bulkhead seats, therefore, during take-off, all carry-on baggage must be stowed in the overhead bin.
Allegiant Airlines Checked Baggage/Hold Baggage Policy
- Pre-purchased bags are allowed up to 4 bags.
- 80 inches or 203 centimeters (length + width + height) is the maximum dimensions.
- 40 pounds or 18 kilograms is the maximum weight per bag.
- Wheels and handles are included in the measurement.
Allegiant Airlines Baggage Fee
Fees are applicable depending on the length of the route and the addition to your itinerary. Charges for one carry-on and the first three bags will be waived if you are an active US military personnel.
Fee Allowance for standard checked baggage/hold luggage:
- USD 18 to 35 per bag at the booking.
- USD 45 per bag at the pre-departure.
- USD 50 per bag at the airport.
- USD 75 per bag at the gate.
The fee for excess baggage is Checked Baggage/ hold baggage is allowed a maximum of 4 bags per person
Allegiant Airlines Overweight Baggage Fee
Fees will be applicable on bags heavier than the standard 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
- USD 50 will be charged per extra bag if it is 40 to 70 pounds or 18 to 32 kilograms.
- USD 75 will be charged per extra bag if it is 71 to 100 pounds or 33 to 46 kilograms.
- Checked Baggage/ Hold Luggage bags exceeding 100 pounds or 46 kilograms will not be accepted.
Allegiant Airlines Oversize Baggage Fee
USD 75 will be charged for extra bags by Allegiant Airlines if they are 80 linear inches or 203.2 centimeters.
Allegiant Airlines Sports Equipment Fee
Associated Fees will be applied and Allegiant Airlines will accept sports equipment such as; golf bags, fishing equipment, and hockey, and lacrosse equipment. Size and weight limits and will count as one checked bag/ hold bag.
CPAP Devices
All allegiant flights prohibit the use of liquid or compressed, oxygen, both in the cabin and as cargo. Tanks, canisters, and cylinders of oxygen are included in this. It is allowed to check or bring on ventilators, respirators, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines, and portable oxygen concentrators (POCs). If the item can be surely stored in the overhead compartment or beneath the seat in front of you, it may be transported in the cabin.
