Swiss Airlines Baggage Policy: What You Need to Know

Swiss Airlines Carry-on Allowance

The following requirements all carry-on luggage should fit in an overhead bin or available space under the seat:

  • For Economy class passengers 1 bag baggage is allowed.
  • For First/business class passengers 2 bag baggage is allowed.
  • 55cm x 40cmx 23cm (length x width x height) is the maximum dimensions for carry-on luggage.
  • 18lb/8kg is the maximum weight allowed for carry-on luggage.

During take-off and landing, bulkhead seats do not have under-seat storage.

Swiss Airlines General Checked Baggage Allowance

The baggage guidelines for ticket holders are revised after 1 August 2011 and Swiss has applied this piece of concept all over the world on their flight. Here are the rules that formally apply:

Ticket Holders traveling to/from the US, Canada, and Mexico:

  • 1 piece: Baggage Allowance Economy.
  • 2 pieces: Baggage Allowance Business.
  • 3 pieces: Baggage Allowance First.
  • 50lb/23 kg per bag: Maximum weight for economy class passengers.
  • 70lb/32 kg per bag: maximum weight for Business/First class passengers.
  • 62linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height) for the first piece, but no more than 106 inches/273 cm for the two combined: Maximum dimensions for economy class passengers.
  •  62 linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height) per piece or 124 inches/316 cm combined: Maximum dimensions for business/first class passengers.

  • 1 piece: Baggage Allowance Economy.
  • 2 pieces: Baggage Allowance Business.
